In the 19th century in England, a recently orphaned youngster named Dio Brando is adopted into the noble Joestar family, becoming the brother of the only son Jonathan. However, Dio has an ambition: steal the Joestar fortune to become the richest man in the world! With the discovery of the Stone Mask, and how it transforms people into vampires, and the sunlight-based martial arts technique Hamon Jonathan learns, Dio rejects his humanity and transforms into a vampire, and now it is up Jonathan and his friends to stop Dio from ruling the world.
