Michael Brody is the son of Martin and Ellen Brody, the older brother of Sean Brody, and the father of Annie and Elsie Brody. After Michael’s wife dies from cancer, he moves his two daughters to his childhood town of Amity Beach in hopes of a fresh start. Ever since the 1975 shark attacks, he has been traumatized of the ocean, and never let his daughters swim. After Elsie tells him where Annie went, and gets Sean, Francis, and his dad to help him find her and her friends. He will do whatever it takes to keep his daughter safe, even if that means overcoming his biggest fears and reliving childhood trauma.
