The movie that never was
At the time of announcing they'd acquired the movie rights to Spider-Man, Sony brass said they weren't thinking about Cameron's involvement one way or another. But per Cameron's modern-day comments, once Fox didn't step up to grab the film rights to Spider-Man, the filmmaker dropped the production.
