It (2017) takes place in the fictional town of Derry Maine, in 1989. Pennywise awakens from his 27 year hibernation period, and children immediately go missing because of his eating habits. After Pennywise kills Georgie Denbrough, his brother Bill denbrough is determined to find Georgie. Bill drags along 6 of his friends (all known as the losers club), who have all had experiences with pennywise, on a quest to defeat the monster. After defeating Pennywise, they make an oath to return to Derry 27 years later, if IT comes back. Another 27 years later, Pennywise is back to terrorize Derry, and get revenge on the losers.
