Tony's life and mental health has recently been on the decline since the Battle of New York. On top of this he's also gotten himself in trouble with the infamous Ten Rings as well as this new Extremis virus floating around. (somewhat of a copy of the plot of Iron Man III with a bit of Extremis thrown in)
