Genius billionaire Tony Stark is kidnapped by a terrorist organization and forced to build weapons for them. Instead, he constructs a suit of powered armor to escape. Returning home, he refines his invention, becoming the armored hero Iron Man. As he battles corruption within his own company and a powerful rival in the form of the Iron Monger, Stark embraces his new identity as a hero.
