Billionaire Weapons Maker, Tony Stark is living the high life until he is soon kidnapped by a terrorist group called "The Ten Rings". He soon meets the leader of this group, a man simply called "The Mandarin" who forces him to build the Jericho Missile. Fortunately for Tony, he has someone to help him build the missile. A famous physics professor named "Ho Yinsen". Together, the two secretly build a suit of armor and make their escape from the Ten Rings, but during the escape, Yinsen sacrifices himself to buy Tony some time. Saddened by Yinsen's sacrifice, Tony vows to use his power to help others rather than build tools of destruction, making him become the Invincible Iron Man.
