Tony Stark, a genius billionaire and head of Stark Industries, is captured by the Ten Rings while demonstrating his company’s weapons in Afghanistan. Critically injured by his own technology, he is kept alive by an electromagnet built by fellow captive Yinsen. The terrorists demand Tony build them a missile, but instead, Tony and Yinsen construct a crude suit of armor to escape. The suit, powered by a miniaturized arc reactor, allows Tony to break free, though Yinsen sacrifices himself in the process. Back in the U.S., Tony announces Stark Industries will no longer manufacture weapons, sparking outrage from his business partner, Obadiah Stane. Tony refines his armor, overcoming flaws through trials and errors, ultimately creating the advanced Mark III suit. As Tony uses his new suit to dismantle Stark weapons, he discovers Stane’s betrayal. In a climactic battle, Tony defeats Stane, declaring to the world, “I am Iron Man.” Post Credits: Nick Fury
