If the movie was released ten years later
Ian Gray and his assistant Karen are researching the origin of vision and the appearance of the eye in living species, while their friend Kenny is building a world database of irises, each iris being specific to an individual. By discovering the gene and its mutation responsible for vision, Ian brings a decisive stone to the theory of evolution and believes to deal an equally decisive blow to the theory of intelligent design and beliefs in a god. But now, by consulting the database, he discovers that living people have the same irises as people who died at the time of their birth.
