Chaos erupts in New York as the NYPD cracks down on vigilantes, but after 20 years as the "hero capital," the public refuses to hang up their spandex. Seeking revenge, a wheelchair-bound Chris D'Amico and the newly released Ralph D'Amico hire elite assassins Smoker and Artemis to unmask and execute heroes, while employing "The Demons" gang to terrorize the city. Amidst the carnage, Mindy (Hit-Girl) returns home from prison and rehab, struggling to overcome a drug addiction fueled by the trauma of her father’s death. Meanwhile, the mantle of Kick-Ass is claimed by Dave’s son, who inherited his father's legendary pain tolerance. While trying to reform Justice Forever and rescue his friend Little Rasul from the gang life, the boy’s amateur heroics accidentally drive the original Kick-Ass out of retirement. Now, with two generations of Kick-Ass and a recovering Hit-Girl united, the trio must dismantle the D'Amico empire and survive the assassins' hunt.
