But as he and his wife, a female Immortal, were trapped in battle against the Kurgan, as Connor fled, Katana’s wife took her husband’s sword and forced him into cutting her head off to give him the strength to escape the Kurgan. Since then Katana had blamed Connor for his wife’s murder and vowed vengeance. Instead of taking other Immortals Quickening, Katana wants to use the unkillable Army to re-establish the Empire and destroy anyone (especially Connor) in his way.
