Veronica Sawyer is a young woman who lives with three preppy girls named Heather, whose sole purpose in life is to be adored. Their behavior and that of their friends is so pedantic that Veronica feels like killing them. After she starts dating Jason Dean, their deaths become reality, in a way that always makes it seem like suicide.
