In 1794, an Arctic explorer trying to break through the ice encounters Victor Frankenstein. Soon after, the dogs decide to attack a creature, which quickly kills them. So, Victor decides to tell him how it all started, when he went to study medicine in Ingolstadt, leaving his fiancée behind and taking with him a single obsession: defeating death. In college, when he disagrees with a renowned master, he ends up calling the attention of another, who reveals his experiments in reanimating dead tissue. However, this researcher is murdered and the culprit hanged, so Victor decides to place the master's genius brain in the killer's vigorous body, but the consequences of such an act would be unimaginable.
