Gregory, Meggy, Kitana, Sonya Blade, Cole Young, Nightwolf, Jax, Johnny Cage, Cyrax, Liu Kang, Kung Lao, Kenshi Takahashi, Hanzo Hasashi, Kuai Liang, and Tomas Vrbada met Jin Kazama for the first time. Jin encouraged them to train in karate. Determined to improve, they pushed themselves harder and harder in their training so that they could qualify for the King of Iron Fist Tournament alongside Gregory and his wife, Meggy Spletzer.
