The Mystery Shack Stan runs a tourist attraction called the Mystery Shack, where he employs Soos and Wendy. The characters Dipper has a crush on Wendy, who is oblivious to him, and initially dates Robbie, a goth-y musician. Mabel has a nemesis in Pacifica Northwest, an ultra-rich young heiress. The main antagonist Gideon, a "psychic" kid who is madly in love with Mabel, summons a demon named Bill Cipher who becomes the main antagonist. Stan's twin brother Stan reveals that he built a machine that brings his long-missing twin brother, the author of the journal, back from an alien world.
