It was 1992, and the crack cocaine epidemic was soaring through the streets of Los Angeles. After his mother was killed in a drive-by, Ex- Gangster of the Street Gang known as the Grove Street Family, Carl Johnson; known as "CJ", returns from New York City. With the help of his older brother Sean "Sweet" Johnson and little sister Kendl Johnson, the siblings will do whatever it takes for the Grove Street Families to regain their territory from Rival gangs and solve the mystery of his mothers murder.
