Marian’s husband and Judge Stallworth’s golden-boy. A crooked lawyer obsessed with money and status. He is secretly a client of Maggie Kizer, and refuses to help her after her arrest out of shame and fear that society will know he was involved with a part-black prostitute. Lena holds him responsible for Maggie’s death, and has him disfigured by two of her associates, and finally murders him herself in the end. His head is cut off and mutilated with several golden needles, and sent to Marian in a tea chest. Age 35-40.
