At a top-secret laboratory in Pennsylvania's Arkley Forest, the chief researcher Dr. John Marcus alerts his superiors to a biohazard and pleas with them not to send rescue as he is torn apart by his colleagues who's been driven mad by the infection. Meanwhile, Mohawk ranch owner Chris Redfield is out feeding the eagles when he is disturbed by an unusual creature in the distance. He returns to his girlfriend Jill Valentine's apartment and they have sex. Jill puts on her uniform and rushes out to meet with the team, deciding not to warn Chris of the situation. Bravo Team drives out into Arkley Forest and reaches the Arkley Mansion, the surface façade of the laboratory. Before they can get inside, however they are attacked by unseen creatures and all, but Jill were killed. With one of the creatures swallowing a tracking beacon, Wesker orders the entire city be evacuated while his own Alpha Team, consisiting of Barry Burton, Rebecca Chambers, Joseph Frost, Forest Speyer, Kenneth J. Sullivan, Rosie Rodriguez, Richard Aiken, Ridley, Fox, Enrico Marini and Brad Vickers takes on Jill's responsibilities.
