Remake of the 1956 movie Forbidden Planet
The story is set in the 23rd century and follows Commander John J. Adams and his crew, who are sent to the distant planet Altair IV to investigate the fate of a previous expedition. Upon arrival, they discover that only Dr. Edward Morbius and his daughter, Altaira, have survived. Morbius warns them of a mysterious, deadly force that wiped out the original crew. As the crew investigates, they learn that Morbius has been using advanced technology from an ancient, extinct civilization known as the Krell. The film explores themes of unchecked scientific advancement, the dangers of the subconscious, and the limits of human control.
