Eric was born and raised in New Wilmington, PA with his sister Eve. Their mother died of cancer 13 years prior to the events of the series. Eric endured their father Joel's abuse for 2 years until he turned 18 and immediately signed up for the military. Eric rose to become a Sergeant and now has his own squad. He is now stationed in Youngstown after the Wildfire virus begins to spread around the country.
