The current leader of the city of Attilan, Maximus seized power from his brother through the use of deceit and fear mongering, no doubt aided by his scientific acumen and psionic powers. When Black Bolt left the city to search for the missing Medusa, Maximus cemented his rule and has led the Inhumans ever since. But his pesky cousin Crystal and her meddlesome friends may prove to be a bigger pain then he thought. And there are still those among the Inhumans that refer to Maximus as "stunted little peacock" and more odiously "Maximus the Mad".
