A failed quantum experiment led by Reed Richards transforms four scientists into the first publicly known metahumans. As the world grapples with their existence, the group is sent to investigate anomalies in the Atlantic, where they discover Atlantis, a hidden civilization ruled by the ferocious Namor. After years of contamination and a human military incursion, Namor unleashes devastating attacks on New York City. The Fantastic Four must act as a team for the first time to halt the invasion. In an epic battle, Sue Storm brokers a diplomatic truce, but Namor retreats, warning that his watch will be eternal. In the shadows, a young Victor Von Doom observes the conflict, beginning his own rise to power. POST-CREDITS: In a classified Washington, D.C. facility, an officer reviews the "Level Omega" file following the Atlantean attack. A grave voice declares, "If there is no symbol to unite these people, we will lose everything." The camera reveals a dusty, circular shield in a display case. A fist clenches in the gloom.
