Gregory Freeman was working as a valet in the Menger Hotel in San Antonio when Marcus checked his group into the hotel. By a problem with an errand for Isobel, he is fired and goes to tell them goodbye. He sees Lilly feeding, finds out about vampires, and volunteers to be Lilly's ghoul. His grandmother, who raised him, thinks he's just going to work for Lancaster Industries. He's very loyal to Lilly and is beginning to feel like he's falling for her.
