DC Studios Original Series
With the shutdown of the Justice League of America in 2007, there were two members (The Question and Captain Atom) that chose to band together. Their goal was to create a new Justice League based in their shared home of Hub City. They were joined by Agents Sato, Steel and Smith from the DEO, who had received special permission from Director Bones to work as the team's government liaisons. While they did manage to recruit fresh talent from the Titans (Blue Beetle and Booster Gold) and a young Hub City heroine named Nightshade, they never really got their new Justice League off the ground, with the Question ultimately quitting the team just eight months after it was founded in order to relocate to Gotham City. Still this team remains an interesting novelty in the annals of history. Though they had planned to call themselves "the NEW Justice League" at the time, we will always remember them by the name Booster Gold exclaimed in their first televised appearance: "EXTREME JUSTICE!"
