Oliver is a hardened man by his years on the island. We spend a good portion of the movie watching him just struggle to survive before the villains arrive. He’s full of regret with the way he conducted himself in his youth and wished he hadn’t treated his best friend terribly in their last time seeing each other when Roy caught him using drugs. Now in the present he holds out hope that his friends from his assassin training escaped and that he can avoid the psycho Komodo and Vertigo’s men who are hunting him.
