Episode 1 – What If… Aquaman Fought the Mech Justice League? In this universe, Aquaman discovers an ancient Atlantean relic beneath the ocean floor, but the artifact catastrophically mutates him into a colossal kaiju-like sea titan. With the world on the brink of destruction, Nightwing assembles an emergency team of heroes, including Mary Marvel, Ragman, and Red Hood, who pilot enormous mechanized armor suits known as the Mech Justice League. The battle becomes a massive clash between towering machines and the unstoppable ocean titan. Eventually, Nightwing realizes Arthur Curry’s consciousness is still trapped inside the creature and manages to reach him emotionally, helping Aquaman regain control before the conflict devastates the planet. Episode 2 – What If… Enchantress Went to Hollywood? Set in the 1940s, the mischievous witch Enchantress infiltrates early Hollywood by possessing the body of a rising film star. Using her new identity, she secretly manipulates movie studios and celebrities while searching for mystical artifacts hidden within the entertainment industry. When producer Jonathan Kent becomes suspicious of strange supernatural events surrounding his productions, he begins investigating. Meanwhile, cosmic hero Infinity Man, living as a charismatic movie actor, gets caught in Enchantress’ magical schemes, leading to a chaotic clash between Hollywood glamour and ancient sorcery. Episode 3 – What If… KGBeast Stopped the Red Hood? In 2011, Soviet super-assassin KGBeast intercepts a secret mission by the League of Shadows involving the mysterious vigilante Red Hood. Determined to prove himself as Russia’s greatest operative, KGBeast disrupts the mission that originally led to the deaths of the Kents. The interference sparks a nationwide chase as League of Shadows agents pursue both men. During the conflict, KGBeast unexpectedly helps break through Red Hood’s psychological conditioning, allowing Jason Todd to regain fragments of his true identity much earlier than in the main timeline. Episode 4 – What If… Detective Chimp Got Married? In this comedic cosmic adventure, Detective Chimp falls in love with Etta Candy during an intergalactic cruise. Their honeymoon quickly turns chaotic when alien factions attempt to capture them after detecting a mysterious cosmic energy forming around the couple. It turns out their unlikely union has accidentally created a new cosmic entity tied to the balance of the universe. The pair must evade space pirates, alien bounty hunters, and strange anomalies while discovering the surprising destiny behind their relationship. Episode 5 – What If… The Heart of Apokolips Destroyed Earth? In this dark timeline, the heroes of the New Gods fail to stop the awakening of the Heart of Apokolips, a cosmic force tied to Darkseid. The entity emerges from Earth’s core, shattering the planet and leaving fragments of civilization drifting through space. In the aftermath, illusionist tyrant Abra Kadabra rises to power, controlling the survivors through propaganda and technological illusions. A rebellion led by Natasha Irons, now the armored hero Starlight, attempts to expose Kadabra’s deception and free the remaining survivors. Episode 6 – What If… Earth-18? Inspired by DC’s western Elseworlds stories, this episode takes place on Earth-18, a Wild West version of the DC Universe. Blue Beetle becomes a wandering gunslinger traveling across the frontier with sharpshooter Mia Dearden. Together they defend small towns from criminals and corrupt officials. Their greatest enemy is the mysterious outlaw Onomatopoeia, whose eerie supernatural abilities threaten the entire territory. Episode 7 – What If… Pariah Disappeared? For the first time, the multiverse faces catastrophe when Pariah suddenly vanishes. Without his cosmic awareness observing the timelines, universes begin collapsing into one another. A mysterious cosmic tribunal accuses Pariah of violating his sacred duty by interfering too often in mortal affairs. Meanwhile, heroes from multiple alternate realities begin investigating his disappearance, suspecting that an unseen force may be manipulating the multiverse itself. Episode 8 – What If… Elseworlds? (Series Finale) As the multiverse destabilizes, heroes from the season’s alternate realities, including Batwoman Selina Kyle, Monkyie the Chimp, and Mighty Celsius, are pulled together into a single collapsing reality. When Pariah finally returns, he admits that his attempts to subtly guide events may have unintentionally weakened the boundaries between universes. In a climactic multiversal battle, the heroes work together to restore balance and stabilize the timelines. With reality saved, Pariah recommits himself to his role as an eternal observer of infinite possibilities, accepting that even those who only watch can never truly escape the consequences of their choices.
