The story follows the daughter of Nancy Thompson, Abigail Thompson, as she slowly begins to uncover a dark secret that her hometown of Springwood, Ohio has been hiding. But she soon learns why they kept it a secret for so long: To keep power away from the dream monster known as Freddy Kreuger.
