The story takes place in 2006. It's about an optimistic, non-binary American-Norwegian teenager who meets his new neighbor, a Filipino-American athlete who has a leg disability, making him unable to walk or play football. They make friends and live like normal teenagers. Devon dreams of becoming a blogger, while Tanner dreams of becoming a football player, but has to work to help his family or friends to earn money for leg surgery so he can walk again.
