When a group of Russian terrorists, lead by Igor Kozlov (Liam Neeson) take over a 4 story high school and hold all teachers and students hostage, its up to principal and ex navy seal Kurt Cooper (Ben Affleck) as well as a little help from the school janitor Frank (Jason Lee) to stop the terrorists and save the school. Kurt later discovers that its not the children nor the teachers that Igor is after, Igor wants his brother and world renowned drug lord Viktor Kozlov released from prison in America. The school is laced from top to bottom in explosives, once the 3:00 PM school bell rings they will all detonate, authorities have 6 hours to release Viktor from prison or else all hostages will be blown up.
