Set in 1997, follows Ivy Raines, a haunted 24-year-old woman living out of her car, drifting across dusty American highways. When she receives news of her estranged mother’s death, she reluctantly returns to her hometown a dried-up desert community riddled with silence and suspicion. Staying in her mother's old trailer, Ivy reconnects with fragments of her past: a childhood friend now a sheriff, a cryptic gas station clerk, and a local priest who knows more than he lets on. As the heat intensifies and the nights grow more surreal, Ivy begins experiencing visions or memories that lead her to unravel the truth behind a long-forgotten crime tied to her family.
