While attending a Christmas-themed amusement park called "Decemberland" on Christmas Eve, a troubled young man who hates the holidays due to an unfortunate childhood incident, and his former babysitter/childhood crush who's also the park's assistant manager and is under tremendous pressure from her superiors to maintain the park's high quality, are suddenly magically transported to the North Pole, where they meet and must team up with a surprisingly grumpy and foul-mouthed Santa Claus on an imaginative yet ridiculously perilous journey to prevent a rogue disgruntled former elf from utilizing the power of the Christmas star to destroy Christmas, all leading to a chaotic all-out climatic showdown at the park itself.
