A movie based on the musical, "Dear Evan Hansen" centers on a high school senior with sever social anxiety who creates a website dedicated to Connor Murphy, another high schooler who killed himself, and happened to have a therapeutic note Evan wrote to himself with him. Connor's parents believed it was a suicide note addressed to Connor's only friend. Afraid to disappoint his new parental figures, Evan creates a whole web of lies including fake emails, notes, and stories, even though in reality, Evan only interacted with Connor twice.
