The film's protagonist, a chatty mercenary with a healing factor that makes him practically immortal, Wade is aware that he is a character in a film and constantly makes humorous comments about it. After the studio that created him is bought by Disney, Wade is hired by Mickey Mouse to eliminate characters from films based on Marvel comics but made by other studios, made when Marvel sold the film rights to these characters before being acquired by Disney, who intends to recreate these characters in the MCU, if he succeeds in his mission, Wade will be included in this franchise.
