In the Pre-Crisis continuity, her family had their names changed out of shame and a desire to distance themselves from the name Lex Luthor. Lena became known as Lena Thorul. She married Jeff Colby and had a son, Val Colby. Post-Crisis, she had a daughter named Lori.
