She adopted the superheroine alias Insect Queen after deciding that it would be more enjoyable than being a model. Mary Jane had hardly started her career as a crime-fighter when a parent's friend set her up on a blind date with Spider-Boy. The feisty Spider-Boy and the wild redhead connected as kindred spirits and are now engaged. Sadly, the Insect Queen's engagement led to the birth of Araniella, her rival. Spider-Boy 2099 claimed that after marrying Insect Queen, his life would never be the same.
