Only Super-Soldier is able to see that Lex Luthor, the hybrid of Red Skull and Lex Luthor, is a corrupt war criminal who is working with the Nazi Party to keep the battle going even though he is a model citizen and benefit to Metropolis society. As part of his inquiry into the covert government program that gave rise to Super-Soldier, Luthor unearths proof that an alien craft crashed in Kansas and transported Green K, or the "Kansas Lode," a radioactive material. Luthor creates a serum from the same green meteorite that weakens Super-Soldier and injects it into himself to strengthen himself. He thus turns into the cadaverous Green Skull.
