Joshua Summers, Apollo's younger brother and the fusion of Havok and Spitfire, first showed his metamutant powers when he was a child and nearly destroyed the orphanage where he and his brother were staying. Because of the sheer volatility and rawness of his powers, he would lose control, especially under pressure. Josh was imprisoned in a cryonic confinement chamber at AIM-STAR labs for ten years before the JLX released him. Even though he hated Mister X for kidnapping his brother from him years before, he joined the team to be with Apollo again.
