Synopsis

Watchmen is a comic book series created by writer Alan Moore, penciller Dave Gibbons, and inker John Higgins. The series was published by the American company DC Comics during the years 1986 and 1987 as a limited series of 12 numbers.[5] It has been reissued several times and translated into different languages, including Spanish, in addition to obtaining prestigious awards, like the Hugo Watchmen originated from a story pitch by Moore to DC featuring superhero characters the company had acquired from Charlton Comics. As Moore's proposed story would have left many characters unusable for future stories, editor-in-chief Dick Giordano convinced the writer to create original characters instead.
