In the midst of a war between the families of Demitri Maximoff and Morrigan Aensland for control of the Demon World, alien invader Pyron arrives on Earth and plans to take it over by taking out those who stand a chance of stopping him, namely the Darkstalkers. Two darkstalker hunters make their presence known and join in the fray. The dhampir, Donovan Baine who seeks to hunt down the Darkstalkers and slay Pyron in order to put an end to (what he sees as) a destructive race of monsters, as well as Hsien-Ko, a Jiangshi who works alongside her sister Mei-Ling in order to help free and save their mother's soul from eternal darkness.
