Courtney gains the gift of obedience from her godmother. After his father remarries, his life gets even worse. Her stepmother Margareth and her daughters discover that Courtney is under the influence of the gift of obedience and begin to exploit her more and more. Determined to change her life, the girl leaves home and begins a journey to find her godmother, as only she can undo the spell.
