Demeter is a skittish but loving cat, she's also Jemima's mother, Demeter once had a past with Macavity, it wasn't a good one I can tell you, it was so horrible that she escaped to the Jellicle world, and eventually settling down with Munkustrap, she was the one who had the idea of taking Jemima in, and when she saw Grizabella once more, it made her tell Jemima that her heart will lead her to the right direction
