Dr. Brian Braddock, a brilliant physicist and heir to the Braddock estate, is mortally injured in a mysterious accident orchestrated by the enigmatic assassin Slaymaster. Rescued by Merlin, Brian is imbued with the Amulet of Excalibur, granting him superhuman strength, flight, and the mystical ability to manipulate energy.
