Bullet Train is a 2022 American action comedy film directed by David Leitch. Based on the 2010 Japanese novel by Kōtarō Isaka, it centers around a group of assassins on a Japanese high COVID-19 pandemic. Bullet Train premiered in Paris on July 18, 2022, and was theatrically released in the United States on December 6. The film received mixed reviews from critics and sparked a whitewashing controversy over its predominantly non-Japanese cast in a Japanese-set novel adaptation.
