An old retired vigilante and ex member of the All Star Squadron, John Law is a depressed and bitter old man. He currently resides in Bludhaven in a house that is paid for by his step daughter Libby Lawrence and he spends his time enjoying one of his few hobbies which is writing. He and Ted Grant are old friends from years ago when they crossed paths as vigilantes but the friendship soured years ago when Ted slept with Law's ex wife "Liberty Belle". He has since forgiven him but he is still bitter and jealous of Ted Grant's lack if aging.
