A soldier (Killy) and a doctor (Cibo) are pursued by a dangerous cyborg super agent (Sanakan) as they search a vast technological world (inhabited by scattered transhuman tribes as well as hostile enitities known as Silicon Creatures) known as "Megastructure" for a human with the rare genetic ability to access the computerized control network which may be the key to halting the unhindered, chaotic expansion of the Megastructure, as well as a way of stopping the murderous replicating synthetic horde of monsters known as the Safeguard from destroying all of humanity.
