Black Widow is a 2010 American superhero film based on Marvel Comics featuring the character of the same name. Produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Paramount Pictures. The film was directed by Sam Mendes and written by David S Goyer and is the twelfth film in the Perfect Marvel Universe (PMU). The film stars Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow alongside Ray Winstone, Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders, Clark Gregg, Ming-Na Wen, Brett Dalton, Iain De Caestecker, Elizabeth Henstridge, Scott Adkins, Mallory Jansen and Ben Kingsley. In the film, Black Widow is going on a hunt to find the man responsible for ruining her life from a young age, all the whole avoiding certain groups like S.H.I.E.L.D and the Ten Rings.
