The US Naval Academy at Annapolis, Maryland, is an elite school that teaches various midshipmen from across the country to become officers fit to serve in the US Navy. Among them are Eugene "Gene" Alderton (A-7 Corsair Attack Jet Pilot), Joseph "Joey" Ong (EOD-Diving Officer) and Megan "Meg" Morris (Submarine-Information Systems Officer) along with their close friends Travis Ellison and Marie Auburn. However, three of their classmates and friends Kenneth "Kenny" Tolbert, Ruth Sanders, and Gregory "Greg" Overing felt their talents were being wasted and leave to join an evil organization called Volt who offers to raise their full scientific potential. As a result, when Gene and company saw them leaving, Kenny draws a gun on the three with Travis and Marie taking the fatal blow. Soon after, one of the professors at the school Captain Holland pitches in to help Gene and his friends complete the suits so they can serve to prepare against Volt.
