The year is 2002 in the midst of a harrowing winter. Gotham, Massachusetts has been racked with the grossly macabre murder of a young woman. The police are stretched thin as the killer walks among the citizens without a care in the world. Only one man will be able to bring this monster to justice, The Batman. Terry MacGinis is a young 22-year-old whose life had been racked with death and tragedy. This molded him into the man he is today and into the vigilante he would soon become. With the help of a family friend and ex-SAS soldier, Alfred Pennyworth, he would become the Batman at the turn of the New Millenium. Inspired by stories such as Mystic River, The Secret in Their Eyes and Gone Baby Gone, Batman: Beware the Night is a story about loss, love, lust and the tole that such a case can have on a man. This is also an elseworlds take on the character of Batman and will offer up a new take on classic characters established by DC.
