Years after becoming Batman, Bruce Wayne is confronted with the revelation that he fathered a son, Damian, long ago. Talia al Ghul reveals that Damian has been raised and trained by Ra’s al Ghul and the League of Assassins to become a lethal weapon. Now, Batman must confront the deadliest adversary he has ever faced, as he struggles to save his son from a violent destiny. When Bruce disappears for a time to dismantle the League and confront Ra’s directly, the responsibility of protecting Gotham and guiding Damian falls to Dick Grayson, who temporarily dons the mantle of the Bat to mentor the young heir. Caught between his father’s moral code, Dick’s guidance, and the ruthless teachings of his grandfather, Damian must decide what kind of man he wants to be. With the fate of Gotham and the legacy of the Wayne family hanging in the balance, Bruce must fight not only for the city, but for the soul of his own child.
