The film takes place on the conflict between the Batman and the Joker. In his second year fighting crime in Gotham City, the vigilante Batman uncovered corruption with ties to his family and set out to dismantle organized crime in Gotham City. Joker, a failed clown and aspiring stand-up comedian, whose descent into mental illness and nihilism inspires a violent countercultural revolution against the wealthy in a decaying Gotham City. Batman's efforts are derailed by Joker, who seeks to test how far Batman will go to save the city from chaos while he attempts to figure out about his identity. It is the First Chapter of the First Arc of the First Generation and the First Entry of the Batman Saga in the DC Fictional Universe (DCFU). Batman/Joker symbolizes cynicism, contrasting the symbol of idealism of The Last Son of Krypton. The film is compared to The Dark Knight (2008), Joker (2019), and The Batman (2022).
